The Benchmark HS-10 Plus Hotplate Stirrer supports heating and stirring of up to five sample vessels, simultaneously. Unlike traditional multi-position stirrers, the HS-10 model features a large (10 x 10 in.) square top plate that provides the flexibility to heat and stir larger sample vessles, up to ten inches in diameter (including 1x10L bottles).
The top-plate features a durable, chemically resistant, white-ceramic coating that provides exceptionally uniform heating for temperature up to 400°C. The five stirring locations are clearly marked, to ease sample loading and ensuring proper positioning of vessels.
Temperature and mixing speed can be viewed on the large digital display and a safety LED illuminates when the top plate temperature exceeds 50°C. An external temperature probe can also be used for applications that require precise control of sample temperature. The probe provides direct feedback to the microprocessor with constant monitoring and adjustments for maintaining the selected temperature in the sample within +/- 1°C.
